I attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, and graduated with a major in Sequential Art with a minor in Concept Art for Games. I am working as a freelance concept artist for games.
Through opportunities at SCAD, such as the Collaborative Learning Center classes, I have gained useful skills in collaboration and leadership. I worked as an illustrator and developer with a team commissioned by Disney Imagineering through SCAD's Collaborative Learning Center in 2015. From 2014 - 2015 I was a part of a team of 6 who designed, developed, and implemented a LARP-style game experience called Humans vs. Zombies for 275 students. These projects have given me a deep appreciation for collaborative work environments, and I am seeking this in my career future.
My drive to design for video games stems from my interest in storytelling: video games have a unique potential to immerse an audience in a story. I enjoy storytelling because it is a universal human tradition and the level of intimacy that games offer in engaging audiences allows for a deeper understanding of culture and the experiences of other peoples.
